Starting out again in Pattaya with no job or money.
A guy asked me what I would do if I woke up with no money and no business in Pattaya. Here is one idea of many things I would try.
I would message 100 business owners in Pattaya and ask them what I can do to help their business. I would work for free to prove myself. (Within reason)
Then I would offer my services as a reliable and confidential part time personal assistant. This means you can learn and maybe prove yourself for bigger roles. I would ask business owners for 5k per month each to start with and see how it goes. (Offering very good value for money)
I would pitch my services as
– helping with social media
– helping with confidential tasks
– helping with important tasks that need doing
– researching whatever’s needed
– help buying and selling items
– help with recruitment
– picking up and dropping off a few things
– networking
– helping with ordering
And if people need more time I would increase what I charge them and end up with 2 or 3 guys that use me. To start with I would aim for 10 customers paying me 5000 baht a month each. I would consider food barter and rooms as part payment. I would slowly filter out the guys taking the piss, but not til I have got a very strong and stable businesses owners supporting me.
Some guys will say they don’t know how to do some of these tasks. But you will need to learn it.
The work permit brigade will come out of the woodwork soon but I wont respond to that. It’s up to guys to figure that out.
Next idea I would vblog. More on monetizing that later…
Seems and sounds all so easy.
But when you have no skills you will not learn and convince people fast enough to survive.
Times are tough and the times for gold diggers are over
Are you currently taking people for positions? What if I did the content creation and marketing for your group and promised a 5% YoY bump within 6 months?
I could finish your Nightwish-group website, create videos every day, work 60+ hours a week, work for dirt cheap in the beginning, and give free marketing English lessons to your workers every morning so they can better interact with the customers.
I’ve written several owners with that offer, yet none have replied.
We already have a guy doing that full time. Most people here do not see the value it adds, they do not understand it. They would see it as an extra expense. Thanks for reaching out.
You are both right and wrong. It depends on the person.
